This is a panorama assignment I did of the city of Providence using gouache. Instead of making a typical panorama that is landscape style/horizontal, I decided to make it vertical. Or, technically, it could be a typical horizontal panorama in which all the buildings and elements are sideways. However, to view them as we would typically view buildings and our surroundings, its best to view vertically. There is also a time change in this piece. At the bottom, the sky is depicted as it would in the early morning and as you move your eyes up the piece, you will notice that the day shifts to noon, afternoon, and ultimately night.
